Does the UK government have any sort of line of succession in case of emergency?
Not talking about the line of succession to the throne, but one like in the US with the Vice President, Speaker of the House, Speaker Pro Tempore of the Senate, Secretary of State etc. all in line to take over from the President in case of….death/assassination/illness etc. In an emergency it would be especially important for there to be a clear leader.

Obviously the President is both head of state and government so the rules dictating his succession are a bit more formal, but if the PM were killed in the middle of an emergency, who would take over? Home Secretary? Foreign, Defense, Chancellor?
*Meaning a national/international emergency, like terrorism, natural disaster or the likes, not a personal emergency.

There is a post of Deputy Prime Minister, equivalent to the Vice President.
Obviously the PM being involved in an emergency is highly unlikely.

Chancellor, then Foreign Secretary then Home Secretary (Alistair Darling, David Miliband and Alan Johnson).

There is no need for a line of succession to the office of Prime Minister, because he/she is head of government and not state. If the British Prime Minister were to be killed, The Queen would do one of the following:

a) appoint the new leader of the ruling party in the House of Commons as Prime Minister
b) dissolve parliament and call an election
c) in the unlikely instance that the death of the PM and the following by-election results in another party getting a majority: appoint a new PM from the new ruling party
